Manheim’s Mazda UK CyberAuction is a sell out

10th March 2009 Print
A recent Manheim CyberAuction on behalf of Mazda UK, achieved a sell out 100% conversion rate as all 99 vehicles were snapped up by 60 Mazda dealers. With Britain gripped by freezing weather conditions which made travel extremely hazardous, each of the 60 Mazda dealers logged into the electronic auction via the internet from the comfort of their own offices. The broad range of vehicles available generated strong demand and kept the bidding fast paced from start to finish.

Manheim’s CyberAuction features professional images of the vehicles, detailed descriptions and condition reports and is controlled by a centrally-based professional auctioneer, on this occasion at Manheim Auctions, Leicester. The vehicles had all been imaged by Portfolio, part of Manheim Retail Services, and were located at the defleet centre ready for onward delivery to the successful bidders.

Commenting on the electronic auction, Peter Allibon, Fleet and Remarketing Director, Mazda UK aid: "The CyberAuction triumphed despite horrendous weather conditions preventing many businesses from operating. In fact, instead of halting business the online auction enhanced overall attendance levels and yielded Mazda Remarketing it's best ever auction results.”

James Leese, Sales Director, Manufacturer Remarketing Services, Manheim added: “The beauty of CyberAuction is that it reduces buyer costs through the elimination of wasted travelling time, as all buyers are online, and reduces vendor costs as vehicle movements are minimised through the use of detailed condition reports and professional photography. It is just another example of the unique suite of remarketing services available to all manufacturers from Manheim.”
