With the final countdown to digital television’s switch over in 2012 underway, British motorists can get ahead of the game and enjoy the full benefits of progressive programming on the move, following the launch of the Clarion DTX501E in-car digital TV receiver.

Ideal for use alongside Clarion’s top end NX501E (2-DIN) and NZ501E (single DIN) multimedia/navigation systems, thanks to intelligent HMI (Human Machine Interface) touch screen operation via high resolution (800x480) displays, but equally adept as an add-on to a wide range of Clarion multimedia units*, the new digital TV tuner will receive all standard DVB-T channels and is PAL compatible.

Clarion’s two-zone technology, utilised in its range of AV products, also means that while front seat passengers are entertained by audio or kept up to speed with navigation, back seat passengers can enjoy the vast array of digital TV shows on offer via the optional addition of stand-alone headrest or drop-down monitors, including all third party manufactured products.

The slim line unit also delivers auto/manual channel search, auto save, favourite channel list editing, teletext and subtitle functions, and priced at £259 is available from Clarion appointed specialists across the UK.
