Couple choose Bloor to develop new homes

When Mr and Mrs Clarke from Pattishall in Northamptonshire acquired planning permission for 20 new homes on the land behind their five bedroom house, choosing the right developer to work with was essential.
Mr Clarke comments: “Once we had received planning permission for the new homes, we still had the hard part to come – choosing the right developer. We interviewed several who were interested in purchasing the land with the outline planning permission and found Bloor Homes the most suitable. They have a great reputation locally and we had already seen some of their new homes developments. We felt the design and architecture of their properties would complement our environment perfectly.”
Once the couple had seen Bloor Homes’ plans for the new development, named The Orchard, they decided they would like a property for themselves. Mr Clarke explains: “We moved into our current property in January 1974 and although we love it, we thought it would be nice to move into a new home which, with the help of Bloor homes, we could modify to our requirements prior to it being built”
“Our new property is based on the ‘Laceby’ house type, to which we added a garden room as well as extending the kitchen and dining room so that we continue to have plenty of space for when the family come to stay.”
Mr Clarke continues: “We are really looking forward to moving into our new home. Bloor Homes have been a pleasure to work with and the development is really progressing. It is great to see our vision finally taking shape.”
To date, The Orchard has been extremely popular with families and young couples looking to take advantage of the fantastic location. As such, only four properties remain for sale.
Surrounded by rolling hills, the development of three and four bedroom homes offers a tranquil and picturesque setting for parents looking to secure a peaceful environment in which to raise their children. With a variety of schools within close proximity, the location couldn’t be more ideal!
Pattishall and its surroundings cater very well for families, with playing fields, a variety of club events and various entertainment organised by the local community. Nearby Towcester offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and public houses while the racecourse is a great venue for a family day out. For motorsport enthusiasts Silverstone circuit is nearby.
Just over six miles from Pattishall, Northampton railway station provides regular services to London Euston in just under an hour. Meanwhile, the A5 is located just outside the village, connecting to the M1 which leads to Birmingham, Northampton and Milton Keynes and other motorway networks.
Prices at The Orchard start from £199,950 for a three bedroom house. For further information, visit bloor-homes.com.
