The Heritage Motor Centre is organising a whole host of family fun activities during October half term from Saturday 22 – Sunday 30 October. Take part in special Planes, Trains and Automobiles activities all week with a quiz, storytelling, The Big Draw and, for even more action, get behind the wheel on the children's electric go-karts or ride as a passenger on the thrills and spills of the Land Rover Experience. In addition to all this there is the new Ladybird Big Book of Motor Cars Exhibition with its nostalgic collection of illustrations from the books, set amongst many of the vehicles which feature within them.

Model fans are in for a treat when the Large Model Aircraft Show takes place on Sunday 23 October. This fantastic indoor event features over 100 Large Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft on display. Meet the collectors, watch demonstrations and have a go on the radio controlled model aircraft simulator. There will be lots of trade stands for all things model aircraft! Normal Museum prices apply with discounted rates for LMA & BMFA members.

Free Planes, Trains and Automobiles story-telling is on offer on Tuesday 25 October and runs every hour on the hour from 11am - 3pm. Donald, the story teller, will bring to life well known stories together with a few of his own, engaging children (and adults!) with music, actions and props from the collection.

The Big Draw, a national event aimed to get everyone drawing, takes place on Thursday 27 October. The theme this year is ‘The Drawing Age’ and is an exciting opportunity to think about the role drawing plays in our lives today. Take part in planes, trains and automobiles drawing, painting and sticking. This activity is free but normal museum entry fees apply.

To get families into the spirit of Halloween, spooky fun will take place on Sunday 30 October with Halloween crafts and hide & seek. Solve all the clues and win a spooktastic prize.
