Samsung launches new ‘green’ printer for small businesses
Samsung launches a new addition to its mono-laser printer range, the ML-2955DW printer, which provides an efficient and versatile printing solution for single and small business users.
With an impressive print speed of up to 28ppm (A4) and a fast first page out time of less than 8.5 seconds, the device also boasts strong eco-credentials – reducing energy consumption and saving time and money.

ECO Friendly
The new ML-2955DW has been designed to be environmentally friendly as well as highly economical. With the activation of the One touch ECO button, the ML-2955DW can deliver double sided printing, multiple pages onto a single sheet and can also skip blank pages, to further reduce paper wastage.
The ML-2955DW is also Samsung’s first printer to offer an Easy Eco Driver. This allows users to “Print Preview” the document to make adjustments such as removing an image or changing the text font prior to printing without actually changing the original document. This can help to reduce toner consumption and reduce paper wastage.
Additionally, users can immediately see the “ECO Simulator” on their computer to see how much toner, paper, energy, CO² and costs can be saved for each printing job thus encouraging employees to be more eco-friendly. For example, in ECO Mode users can reduce paper usage by up to 75% and reduce CO² emissions by up to 73%.
And, with lower power consumption levels whilst printing– on average 330w/h (watts per hour) –the ML-2955DW can also save on energy costs too. The ML-295X series offer up to 33% improvement in terms of power consumption, compared to conventional models in its class which consume on average 495w/h.
The ML-2955DW also comes with two toner options. The MLT-D103S/ELS (1500 page yield) or the MLT-D103L/ELS provide flexibility in terms of printing costs.
Perfectly designed for the small office environment
The ML-2955DW series is ideal for fitting into any small office environment with its streamlined design and convenient features such as a built in dust cover, and its concealed 250 sheet paper cassette.
In addition, the ML-2955DW delivers amongst the quietest printing levels in its class; omitting less than 50 decibels (dBA) while printing.
Reliable Performance
Powered by a fast 533MHz core processor to manage print jobs effectively, the ML-2955DW can print up to 28 pages per minute with a first print out time of less than 8.5 seconds.
Additionally, with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi users can be assured of high quality printouts every time. The ML-2955DW offers network connectivity and WiFi printing capabilities with simple connectivity set up with its WPS button.
To meet the growing demand for mobile printing the ML-2955DW supports Samsung’s MobilePrint feature. Users can simply download the “Samsung MobilePrint” application software from the Application store to their mobile device and then print materials anytime, anywhere from their Smartphone, tablet or PC via a Wi-Fi connection.
