Simon Crafar, the former 500cc Grand Prix winner and World Superbike rider, will launch his own unique on-circuit instructional DVD and book in association with Suzuki at Motorcycle Live at the NEC in Birmingham on 19th November.

Named ‘Motovudu’ and born from Simon’s passion to pass on the knowldege and techniques he learnt and crafted as a world championship racer, the book and DVD caters for all level of riders, from the first time track day rider to a seasoned racer.

Available in manual and collectors edition packages, the book and DVD cover the essential techniques, tips and tricks learnt by Simon throughout his extensive career which culminated with a win at the British 500cc Grand Prix in 1998.

Simon Crafar: "The objective is to teach any rider how they can ride faster and keep it safe - the methodology isn’t over complicated but effective with logical techniques.

“I have instructed many hundreds of people on circuit one to one and I get mad when I hear how much time and money some riders have spent doing particular training schools or reading books that obviously don’t work. They come to me with some fundamental problems with their riding that make it limiting and dangerous to ride any faster. Of course there is more than one way to achieve your goal, but you need to stay away from the techniques that cause unnecessary risks. I want to pass on the essential rules I learned the hard way, that work at all levels and are not limiting.”

Using the latest Suzuki GSX-R range to demonstrate his circuit riding techniques thanks to support from Suzuki and filmed at the stunning MotoGP circuit Motorland Aragon in Spain, the DVD has a cool and stylish feel, includes high energy, fast action shots and some amazing slow motion camera work – even those not interested in track riding will appreciate the atmosphere it creates.
