Make your move to a new home with help from Redrow

With a good choice of properties and incentives to help get you moving, homebuyers could soon be settling into a new home in one of the Black Country towns of Tipton or Bilston.
Between Heritage Gardens in Tipton and Chestnut Walk in Bilston, Redrow has a selection of three and four-bedroom homes available, with prices ranging from £145,995 to £249,995.
With FirstBuy offered at both locations, first time buyers could save 20% off the initial price of brand new home; while those with a home to sell could use it to part-fund a move up the property ladder.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “Buying a home is a big decision and one that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Heritage Gardens and Chestnut Walk are just a few miles apart, so it makes sense for homebuyers to visit both locations and view all five fully furnished show homes which are open.
“Visitors are sure to fall in love with the quality finish we offer as standard and once they hear about the ways we can help make moving simple and more affordable they’ll be looking forward to moving day.”
Designed to make homeownership more affordable, FirstBuy offers first time buyers a helping hand onto the property ladder in the shape of an equity loan jointly funded by Redrow and the Homes and Communities Agency.
It means that a deposit of £5,840, plus a mortgage of £110,956 could be enough to secure a three-bedroom Broadway, normally priced at £145,995 on the open market.
The loan for the remaining 20% of the price is interest-free for the first five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or they come to resell.
“Those who want to buy but think they can’t afford to should visit our sales teams in Tipton and Bilston, as they could be surprised to find they only need a relatively small deposit and their monthly mortgage repayments could be very affordable too,” Pauline added.
To be eligible for the help, customers must have an annual household income of less than £60,000.
Alternatively, those who have outgrown their current home may be able to use it to part-fund a move up the property ladder.
“People often decide that they are ready to move onwards and upwards because they have run out of space or they simply want somewhere that’s easy to manage and efficient to run. But they may feel that they have to wait until they’ve sold their existing property before committing to buy somewhere else. That isn’t necessarily the case,” Pauline explained.
“While consumers are generally accustomed to trading in their current car for a newer model, they don’t always realise that they may be able to do the same with their home. Under part-exchange, Redrow effectively acts as a cash buyer for the customer’s property. There are no agent’s fees to pay and no complicated chains to hold buyers back from moving.”
