Winter warmer at Little Paddock
Little Paddock, a collection of 8 Scandinavian-style, cosy wooded lodges close to the New Forest National Park in Hampshire is offering 4 nights for the price of 3 from now until the end of January 2012.*
Each of the lodges at the adult-only complex has been individually furnished, and guests have shared use of two hot tubs, table tennis and a tennis court.
Privately-owned, Little Paddock is run by Sue & Brett Jones, a couple who turned their back on the rat race to create their own peaceful haven on the edge of the Avon Heath Country Park (accessible direct from the lodges – Sue & Brett will happily give guidance on local walks).
The lodges are self-catering but the Jones’s will also deliver meals or breakfast hampers at a supplement for those who would rather let someone else do the preparation. Evening meals are freshly created using local farm ingredients, and then delivered to the lodges. All that then needs to be done is to cook them in the oven.
Little Paddock is also close to the New Forest National Park, with its miles of ancient and ornamental woodland, heathland, coastline and estuary. In fact it has been described as a fine example of an early medieval landscape.
There are plenty of local attractions including Beaulieu Motor Museum and Palace, Breamore House and Exbury Gardens, not to mention the numerous pubs and restaurants, all waiting to be discovered.
The price of a ‘4-nights-for-the-price-of 3’ winter stay is from just £98 per person (2 sharing).
*Offer is not valid over the Christmas & New Year dates. B&B rooms also available in the main house at Little Paddock from £30 per person per night (2 sharing a room).
