Part exchange allows Lucy to return to her Humberston roots

When Lucy Sabi started searching for a new dream home in a familiar location, close to family, her business and a good school for her son – Linden Homes ticked all the boxes.
The only hurdle for Lucy was selling her existing home in Barnetby-le-Wold, which at the time had been on the market for more than a year!
However, with the help of her family and Linden Homes’ popular part exchange scheme – Lucy and her four-year-old son Jacob are now settled into their new home at the Renaissance development in New Waltham.
Lucy (37) – who runs the Moshulu shoe shop in Louth – said: “My house had been on the market for such a long time, I wondered if I was ever going to sell it! I wanted to move to Humberston, where I grew up, to be close to family and Jacob’s school.
“My mum suggested I look at the Linden Homes part exchange scheme. It took away all the hassle of selling my existing home and was a very smooth and easy process. Linden Homes were very accommodating in making some changes to the new home I wanted to reserve, and my son is especially delighted to have a new bedroom.”
The moving home process came at very anxious time for Lucy, who was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
She is now on the road to recovery, and with the help of her customers and members of her family, has recently raised £480 for the Pink Rose Appeal at Grimsby’s Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.
If you are a homeowner and are eligible for part exchange, here’s what happens:
Linden Homes will arrange for at least two independent valuations of your existing home and will make you an offer based on their suggestions.
Once you agree the offer, and subject to satisfactory surveys, Linden Homes becomes your buyer, freeing you up to put in reservation on your new home.
After that, it's a case of setting a moving-in date, boxing up your things, and basking in the relief of a quick chain-free move to the home of your dreams.
You can stay in your existing home until your new one is ready.
Linden Homes is currently building across North East Lincolnshire and East Riding – with a range of homes to suit all tastes and budgets.
