Superchips’ ECU remap enhances the Abarth 500

Following many weeks of intensive rolling road dyno testing and real world evaluation, Superchips’ technicians have managed to create an ECU remap which combines enhanced performance levels with total reliability.
Extensive dyno testing by Superchips proves that its new ECU remap for the Abarth 500 raises power by a maximum of 22 bhp at 5654 rpm, with gains from the 1368cc FIRE turbocharged engine from just 2000 rpm all the way to the 6500 rpm cut out. This highlights the linear, progressive nature of the Superchips upgrade as its Abarth 500 ECU remap places great emphasis on delivering a driveable, user friendly performance.
The Superchips upgrade also delivers a noticeable hike in the Abarth 500’s torque output, which jumps by a peak of 46 Nm at just 2942 rpm, accompanied by impressive gains from 2000 – 6500 rpm. On the road, this translates into significantly improved in-gear acceleration, making journeys more exciting, overtaking safer and fast driving more fun. In conjunction with Superchips attention to detail to ensure sharper throttle response, the end result is an Abarth 500 that feels considerably sharper than before!
Pleasingly, in a time of high petrol prices, this additional urge won’t punish an Abarth 500 owner at the pumps, as despite the noticeable performance increase produced by the ECU remap, if a Superchips equipped Abarth 500 is driven in a ‘like for like’ manner, fuel consumption will not be negatively affected.
