They’ve been together for seven years but Shaftesbury newly-weds Abi and Mick Crocket are now enjoying an exciting new love affair....with their brand new Bovis Home!

The couple are the toast of Abbey Meadow, as not only did they tie the knot this summer, but they are also the first residents to move into the Bovis Homes development in Mampitts Road.

To celebrate the event sales advisor Lynne Stratton welcomed Abi, a paediatric nurse and Mick, an IT Manager into their three bedroom Durrell home with a bottle of champagne.

Abi said: “We absolutely love it here. It’s everything we wanted our first proper home to be. We were living in Mick’s flat in Shaftesbury so were keen to stay local but needed more space and wanted a garden. We visited all the new build developments in the area but when we saw the Durrell at Abbey Meadow we both loved the house and the development straightaway.

“The layout of the house is great, it’s like a large house on a more modest scale and the development itself we much preferred for it was smaller and more personal than others we saw.”

Already the Crocketts say the utility room is proving really useful for muddy boot access, while the patio doors from the sitting room to the garden are ideal for enjoying warm Autumnal afternoons.

Abi said: “The house has a lot of natural light which I really like and the fitted kitchen with all the integrated appliances was a real bonus.”

But one major selling point that really clinched the deal for the Crocketts was the generous garden. With five ‘crazy’ nephews who regularly visit Abi said they wanted outdoor space with room for the boys to run around.

“Compared with all the other developments we visited this Bovis Home definitely had a much larger garden than any other new builds. On average new homes don’t include much outdoor space so we were really pleased to find this one. We’re really at home here, we both love it!”

Abbey Meadow is a select development of three and four bedroom homes, less than one mile from the centre of historic Shaftesbury. Three bedroom homes start at £187,995 and four bedroom homes from £299,995.
