Top Gear Live

Top Gear Live rolls into town this week, bringing with it its thrilling indoor track, hotly-anticipated live action arena and mouth-watering exhibition.
 
The show, which will feature in its updated form at the NEC from Friday 11 November to Sunday 13 November, before heading to ExCeL London on 24-27 November is set to surpass all those gone before.
 
In the arena, Clarkson, May and Hammond will be joined by the Top Gear Stunt team, who will perform donuts in a double-decker bus, set fire to Subarus, jump an Aston Martin V12 on FMX bikes as well as many other secret activities.
 
Among the Olympic-inspired anarchy the boys themselves will be unleashing on the audience will be moped chariot racing, car curling and an automotive version of the Splat the Rat game beloved of every good village fete.
 
Meanwhile, taking to the Top Gear Live track hosted by ex-Top Gear presenter and Grand Prix racer Tiff Needell, will be a host of celebrities trying their hand in the live ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’, with British cycling superstar, Mark Cavendish, the first to be briefed by The Stig before his lap in the Kia Cee’d on Friday at the NEC.
 
Other highlights on the track - configured by Lotus Motorsport - include Sabine Schmitz’s challenges which will see her race against an F1 Stock Car in a Ginetta G55, battle the Stratos in a Lada Group A Rally Car and take on a Rage Buggy with the powerful Bowler EXR.
 
In the exhibition hall, other exciting features will include a re-creation of the famous Top Gear studio, in which fans can sit in the seats of their heroes, take a look at the formidable ‘Cool Wall’ and some of the most creative and famous machinery featured in the programme over the years.
 
Top Gear Live opens at Birmingham’s NEC this Friday 11 November until Sunday 13 November. The show will then head to ExCeL London for the 24 – 27 November.
