Dandara launch new range of first timer buyer homes at Image
Dandara have launched a collection of 36 one and two bedroom apartments at its award winning Image development in Hemel Hempstead specifically targeted at first time buyers. The apartments will start from only £139,950 for a one-bedroom apartment and the apartments will be offered for sale through the Government backed FirstBuy scheme, which allows qualifying first time buyers to borrow an equity loan of up to 20% of a property’s value to help them get onto the property ladder. The apartments are spread across the Cranstone Lodge, Moor End Lodge and KD Tower buildings.
To qualify and take advantage of the FirstBuy scheme at Image, purchasers must be a first time buyer, be able to secure a mortgage with an approved lender, have an annual household income of less than £60,000 and be able to pay a minimum of 5% of the cost of your new home as a deposit.
Under the scheme, Dandara and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which is delivering this affordable product on behalf of the Government, provide a loan of up to 20 per cent of the cost of a new apartment at Image. The buyer is required to raise funding (a mortgage plus deposit) of at least 80% of the purchase price but retains 100% ownership from the start.
