Executive chauffeur service chooses the Volkswagen Caravelle

The luxury, seven-seater Volkswagen Caravelle MPV is playing an important and successful role at Minster Chauffeurs, a corporate chauffeur business based in Middlesborough and Darlington.

Following an extensive feasibility study, Minster Chauffeurs decided the Volkswagen Caravelle in luxurious Executive trim, with privacy glass, twin electrically operated sliding side doors, and a five-cylinder, 2.5-litre TDI PD turbodiesel engine with six-speed Tiptronic transmission was best suited to the role.

‘The Caravelle has an excellent record for reliability, flexible seating arrangements and superior capacity for luggage storage even when carrying six passengers,’ said Hugh Millinton, Managing Director of Minster Chauffeurs.

The Caravelle’s floor mounted rail system enables the second and third rows of seats to be adjusted to multiple positions to maximise luggage or passenger space, while the two seats in the middle row can rotate to face the rear to create a sociable lounge-style seating arrangement.

Minster Chauffeurs uses the Caravelle 24 hours a day transporting its business clients to conferences, airports and events, and has recently expanded its operation to Leeds, York and Edinburgh.

The Volkswagen Caravelle is available in SE and Executive specifications, with a choice of two 2.5-litre, five-cylinder TDI PD turbodiesel engines offering 130 or 174 PS, as well as a 3.2-litre, 235 PS V6 petrol engine.
