Windrush Volkswagen invests £1m in the refurb of dealerships

Locals will recall the petrol forecourt and industrial building beyond, though neither was actually ever connected with Windrush. It’s all-change now, however. The forecourt has been demolished and the factory unit absorbed into the dealership, creating a far superior facility.
Business as usual
The dealership may be going through something of a metamorphosis at present, but it will remain open for business while the work is being carried out, allowing customers to continue enjoying Windrush Volkswagen’s renowned sales and aftersales service.
The extended workshop features a four-wheel alignment area and five additional car ramps, including two specifically for luxury models. The larger new car showroom will have space to display an extra four or five cars, while a considerably more extensive line-up of pre-owned Volkswagens (55 instead of 38) will be displayed outside. A new feature entrance will be created on the Farnham Road side, where the boundary will be landscaped for the first time. Customer car parking facilities will also be greatly improved.
Said Dealer Principal, Tim Attwood, “A bit of chaos is inevitable when such major changes are under way, but we know our customers will be delighted with the new facilities when they are completed around Christmas time. They will allow us to provide an even better service for all Volkswagens, especially the luxury Touareg and Phaeton models, of which there are many in the area. In fact everybody will benefit from the alterations, which will greatly improve the look of this busy area of the town.”
Major investment in the area
Windrush Volkswagen is simultaneously effecting major improvements to its Maidenhead outlet, where the aftersales operations have been separated from the sales activities and housed in a new hi-tech facility in Howarth Road, behind the Stafferton Way post office. Altogether, the company is currently spending £1million on its two Berkshire dealerships – an investment that will not only enhance the Group’s standing in the locality, but also create welcome new jobs for the inhabitants.
