Luxury liberated at the opening of the Radisson Royal Hotel Dubai
The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, marked the official launch of the Radisson Royal Hotel, Dubai with a grand opening event held yesterday.
The Radisson Royal Hotel, set in the very heart of Dubai on the prominent Sheikh Zayed Road threw open its doors to nearly 1,000 VIP guests from around the region. The event was hosted by Mr. Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Ayoub, Chairman, ACICO Industries and Mr. Kurt Ritter, CEO and President of The Rezidor Hotel Group.
Dubbed the ‘biggest Royal bash of the year’, guests on the night stepped into a world where class and elegance are welcomed, signifying a new breed of luxury hotels in the emirate.
The evening started in Origami, the hotel’s unique modular meeting space before moving to Icho the Japanese restaurant set over the 49th, 50th and 51st floors, with sweeping views of the city’s skyline. Three floors of show-stopping entertainment and a unique culinary feast ensured a sumptuous experience for all attending.
The Radisson Royal Hotel enjoys a prime location with outstanding visibility, an award-winning design, and world class service standards. Previously managed by JAL hotels, Rezidor have been managing the property since July.

The hotel features 471 rooms all of which offer breathtaking views over Sheikh Zayed Road or the Jumeirah beach side. The sleek, cosmopolitan and elegant interior has been designed by Draw Link Group (Dubai) and was awarded by the International Interior Design Association (Decade of Design Competition 2011, Honourable Mention in category “hotels”).
The Radisson Royal Hotel, Dubai offers an all-day-dining restaurant and 3 specialty restaurants, a lobby lounge and pool bar. A peaceful Zen Spa, fitness centre, and exclusive rooftop pool complement the excellent leisure services. For meetings and events, the hotel features eight meeting rooms and a ballroom for up to 300 guests.
