Crest Nicholson, in conjunction with Fox and Sons, this week hosted a Christmas fun-filled afternoon at its Orchard Gate development in Shoreham-by-Sea. The event took place on Thursday 8th December and included a prize giving ceremony which celebrated the winners of a Christmas colouring competition with schools in the local community.

Pupils from Buckingham Park and Swiss Garden primary schools have been busy colouring in a festive scene of Orchard Gate over the last couple of weeks, which were then posted in the Santa post box on-site ahead of judging. The competition was split into two age groups – reception/year one and years two/three.

The first place prize of a £75 Toys ‘R’ Us gift voucher was awarded to Ava Manvell Mac aged 5, from Swiss Garden for the reception/year one age group and to Maisie Wickens aged 7, from Buckingham Park for the years two/three group. Second place went to Emma Turner aged 5, for the younger age group and to Kian Shephard aged 8, for the older age group - both from Buckingham Park. They received an arts set donated by Fox and Sons. The ten runners up of each age group were presented a £10 Toys ‘R’ Us voucher.

Throughout the afternoon there were carols played to help everybody get into the festive spirit. Christine Tiernan, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson South, said: “The local communities to our developments have always been important to us and the school event was an ideal opportunity for Crest Nicholson to further develop our relationship with residents in Shoreham. We were very impressed with all of the entries we received so it was very hard to choose the winner of each age group. Well done to all of the children that submitted entries and congratulations to the winners.”

Situated on Upper Shoreham Road, the development comprises a collection of three and four bedroom houses, as well as one bedroom apartments. Just a short walk to the beach and only 20 minutes from Brighton, Orchard Gate provides the best of both worlds. The town centre offers a good range of shops, bars and restaurants, the local beach and Shoreham Mainline Station – with direct services to London Victoria in just over an hour. Alternatively, Brighton is just under 20 minutes away*.

Prices for a three bedroom house start at £290,000 and for a four bedroom house, prices start at £318,000. One bedroom apartments are also available from £165,950. For more information, visit crestnicholson.com.
