JPMAM adds L&G funds to investment platform
J.P. Morgan Asset Management has added 40 funds from Legal & General Investments to enhance its direct-to-consumer offering via its WealthManager+ platform. Direct investors now have access to almost 650 third-party funds from 30 leading asset managers.
The 40 added funds include a range of UK, European, US, Pacific and Global funds as well as a range of index tracker and multi-manager funds. The new offerings are available via the J.P. Morgan WealthManager+ platform at no initial charge.
Peter Feasey, Head of Direct Clients commented: "The platform offers a huge range of funds for investors and we're very pleased to now be complementing the existing range of funds with those from Legal & General Investments. We believe our online platform for direct investors is extremely competitive and this year we reduced our initial charge to 0% and introduced improvements to our overall charging structure including lowering our minimum investment amounts to £500 for lump sums and £50 for regular investments. We also simplified our documentation and customer feedback continues to be extremely positive."
Sean Gardner, Head of Third Party Sales for Legal & General Investments added: "We are delighted to be able to offer our funds through J.P. Morgan's WealthManager+ platform. We strongly believe in the importance of making a broad range of funds available to investors at competitive rates and working with J.P. Morgan Asset Management ensures that this continues to be the case."
Launched in 2009, J.P. Morgan Asset Management's online platform enables customers to invest directly into funds or make the most of their tax efficient allowances through an open-architecture platform that includes the ability to invest via an Individual Savings Account (ISA) and the J.P. Morgan Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP), providing investors with the choice and flexibility they need to help take control of their retirement planning. The minimum lump sum investment is £500 and minimum regular contribution is £50 per month for investments in ISAs, SIPPs and Investment Accounts. The platform will also be offering a Junior Investment Savings Account (JISA) from Q1 of 2012.
In addition, J.P. Morgan WealthManager+ provides a range of financial tools, including sample portfolios and access to some of J.P. Morgan Asset Management's best thinking and investment expertise. There are also tools that help investors to understand their risk tolerance and create an appropriate investment strategy.
In addition to J.P. Morgan investment trusts, OEICs and SICAVs, investors also have access to a wide range of investments, including managed funds from other fund management groups, as well as FTSE-All Share equities, ETFs and bonds.
