New Phase at Vista

Following a recent report which claims that, due to a lack of new homes, half of all British households could be living in rented accommodation by 2026, award-winning developer Crest Nicholson is delighted to launch the next phase of homes at its Vista development in Ipswich. 30 new homes are available to purchase, comprising a mix of two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses. A showhome will be available to view at the end of February.

Built on a hill, houses are arranged over three or four floors, creating highly spacious homes and flexible living spaces. Buyers can choose between contemporary open-plan kitchen/living/dining areas or more traditional layouts with separate living rooms. In addition to traditional reception rooms, the larger four-bedroom houses also boast a garden room on the lower ground floor with French doors which open onto the sizeable gardens. Bedrooms are arranged over two floors, enabling greater privacy for individuals and also the opportunity to use bedrooms as a study or playroom. All master bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms whilst those in the larger four-bedroom houses also come compete with spacious dressing areas.

The new homes are situated at the north of the site and many will benefit from excellent views across Ipswich. Residents will have the use of an area of open space but will also be within easy reach of the wild areas to the south of the development.

Gemma Cattermole, Branch Partner for Connells Estate Agent in Ipswich, said: “It’s fantastic news that the long-awaited new phase at Vista is launching. Since the last homes at the development sold out, we have received an exceedingly high number of enquiries from interested purchasers from all walks of life. There are very few new homes in Ipswich and none in the town centre so it’s great to be able to offer buyers something special.

“Vista has always been a popular development due to the variety of homes, its location and high quality. The Ipswich market has changed quite considerably in the past 12-18 months but the mix of houses and apartments at Vista ensure that all types of buyers are catered for. Thanks to the town which has a diverse range of shops, restaurants and cafes, the Harbourside, expansive parks and some very good schools, Ipswich has always attracted families. Vista is in the catchment area of some of the best schools in Ipswich, including the highly regarded Northgate School, so this is particularly appealing to parents.

“In recent months, apartments have come back in vogue and the number apartment sales in the town and nearby area have shot up. Second-hand apartments have flown off the shelves which is a good indication of the brand new market. It’s very good news that Crest Nicholson has included apartments in this new phase.”

Annette Cole, Sales & Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson, said: “We are very excited to be launching new homes at Vista which will provide the area with much-needed housing. We are building a mix of homes to suit a wide range of purchasers, from young professionals and first time buyers to families and those looking to either climb the property ladder or downsize once their family has flown the nest. Buying off-plan enables buyers to make choices which can truly make their home their own, such as selecting the wall tiling and kitchen units.

“Homes at Vista have always sold well and the vast number of enquiries we have received to date is very encouraging. Crest Nicholson is committed to building homes that meet the needs of local residents and previous phases appear to have hit the mark. We are looking forward to launching the new homes and helping local Ipswich residents onto and up the property ladder.”

Homes at Vista are all finished to the high standard associated with Crest Nicholson and properties are fitted with modern kitchens, complete with a range of integrated appliances including a stainless steel Bosch oven, hob and extractor hood along with an integrated fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Bathrooms and en suites incorporate smart white sanitaryware finished with contemporary chrome accessories, meaning that homes are ready to move into straight away.

Thanks to its location just off Woodbridge Road, the development is only a 15 minute walk to Ipswich’s vibrant town centre, negating the need for a car. Furthermore, Vista is less than two miles from the train station, which provides excellent transport links, with London Liverpool Street just over an hour away.

Prices at Vista start from £115,000 for a two bedroom apartment and houses start from 199,500. For more information, visit crestnicholson.com.
