Family wastes no time in swooping for dream home

A local family are celebrating moving into the home of their dreams at Taylor Wimpey Midlands Swallows Nest development in Allesley, after taking advantage of the benefits that buying a home off plan can bring.
The Abbott family were the first customers to exchange contracts for a home at the development. As soon as Adrian, Sharon, and their two boys Joshua and Samuel were shown the plans for their four bedroom Malbury home they were sold, and wasted no time in reserving their choice of plot.
Adrian explains: “Buying off plan was a big decision as we only had the development plans to go by. However, going down this route meant that we could pick one of the best plots on the development and put our own stamp on our new home, as we got to choose the colour schemes and the tiles for the bathrooms and kitchen.”
It wasn’t just the prospect of moving into a brand new home that attracted the Abbott family to Swallows Nest, but the fact that the development enjoys a fantastic location; close to stunning countryside, a wealth of amenities and excellent road networks.
“We’ve always wanted to live here in Allesley and we’d been keeping an eye out for new homes in the area. The development is located in a fantastic area, 150 yards away from green belt land and on the bus route for our local schools, which is very convenient,” added Adrian.
Taylor Wimpey prides itself on the quality of its homes and its commitment to providing excellent customer service, something that the Abbott’s discovered first hand.
Adrian adds: “The whole team at Swallows Nest have been brilliant - Lynsey and Sharon have been incredibly helpful throughout, answering all of our questions and keeping us right up to date with everything. Pete, the site manager, and his assistant, Phil, have been very welcoming, making sure everything is just right with our new home.
“I can’t fault Taylor Wimpey; the customer service has been fantastic and we love our new home. I’d certainly recommend Swallows Nest to any would-be house buyers!”
Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, concludes: “We’re really happy to welcome Adrian and family to Swallows Nest. By reserving early they got the pick of the plots and had maximum input in terms of style, design and location. When you combine these benefits with the developments sought after location, buying off plan becomes an understandably tempting proposition, and as such has been extremely popular with purchasers at Swallows Nest.”
The development, built on the land formally home to Jaguar Cars, was named Swallows Nest after the house builder discovered that Jaguar was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company by Sir William Lyons in 1922.
Conveniently located around three miles west of Coventry City Centre, the village still retains its separate identity and welcoming village atmosphere making it a desirable place to live. Excellent schools and a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops are all close by, making the village the perfect choice for a range of house hunters.
Currently available at Swallows Nest is a range of three bedroom homes priced from just £174,995, and four and five bedroom detached homes priced from just £269,995. For further information, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
