Exclusive Edgbaston new homes launch

House hunters looking for their dream home in Birmingham can call off the search, as on Saturday 14th January, Taylor Wimpey Midlands will be launching Highfield Gardens, its newest development in Birmingham’s upmarket suburb of Edgbaston.
Visitors to the event will be amongst the first to have the opportunity to view the development plans, and if they like what they see, reserve one of the stunning homes on the day.
Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be marking our return to Birmingham with the launch of a development as prestigious as Highfields. Its secluded location, right in the heart of Edgbaston, offers buyers leafy suburban surroundings with the added bonus of having the UK’s second largest city on the doorstep. Since it became public knowledge that we were going to be building our Highfields development in Edgbaston, interest in the homes has been rapidly gaining momentum, so much so that we’re expecting to take a number of reservations on the 14th.”
The chic city development, which forms part of the exclusive Calthorpe Estate, has been deliberately designed by Taylor Wimpey to target upwardly mobile young professionals who want to live close to Birmingham's main hub. Once complete it will comprise a collection of two one bedroom coach houses, 33 one bedroom apartments, 18 two bedroom apartments and just four three bedroom townhouses.
Highfield Gardens is certain to add to Edgbaston's traditional reputation for being one of the most high-end, upmarket parts of Birmingham. Its reputation can be traced back to the 19th century when the area was under the control of the Gough-Calthorpe family who refused to allow factories or warehouses to be built.
Edgbaston is now home to the University of Birmingham, Warwickshire County Cricket Club, the Botanical Gardens, the new state of the art Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as well as leading independent and state schools.
Two railway stations serve the area, University and Five Ways, while the main A38 road runs through the city and is one of the area’s main traffic arteries, reaching out to the south west and beyond from the city centre.
