Upgraded kitchens, a striking selection of wood and acrylic wardrobes and a wider choice of flooring are just some of the optional extras that house builder Miller Homes has expanded on at its brand new state-of-the-art options centre in the North East.

The MiChoice centre, based at Miller Homes’ The Meadows development in Framwellgate Moor, Durham, will launch this weekend giving homebuyers across the region a unique range of standard choices and optional extras to choose from when purchasing and designing their new Miller home.

The centre is a one-stop shop of ideas and inspiration from local suppliers and leading brands to allow people to personalise the interior and exterior of their home themselves and be guided by Miller Homes’ very own MiChoice adviser Alison McLay.

It boasts an array of the latest interior design trends, from contemporary kitchens with new modular ‘banking system’ units with the option of soft closing drawers, in-built coffee machines and other appliances, upgraded bathroom suites with curved bath and shower screens, to classic and sleek fitted wardrobes with a variety of interiors.

There is also a range of different worktop surfaces to select from as well as carpets, wall and floor tiles, appliances, light fittings, soft furnishings such as curtains and blinds and outdoor extras such as fencing, decking and turf.

The MiChoice centre also features a ‘mix and match’ station, where people can piece together their kitchen worktops and cupboard frontals to achieve the look they want, a brightly coloured ‘swatch wall’ which showcases popular paint colours and a lounge area with sofas and a plasma TV allows people to browse the options at leisure.

Miller Homes North East operations director Michael Dunthorne said: “Considering the options when buying a new home is very important as people want their new home to be personable and unique to them. From classic kitchen’s to contemporary bedrooms, the choice is our customer’s and they are free to design it as they wish. The MiChoice Centre is an easy and relaxed way to choose what’s right for them.”

MiChoice adviser, Alison McLay said: “When someone buys a new house they want to make it their dream home and I work alongside clients to help them achieve their ‘look’ and ensure the interior design reflects their individual style.

"We don’t do the hard sell either. We work alongside customers in helping them to choose their standard options, but then we do offer higher upgrades on most items.

“My role is to discuss all the available options, advise the home buyers and then let them choose those final touches that will make their dream home a reality. House buying and home design should be fun. We are here to take the hassle out of designing your new home that is built around you.”

The MiChoice centre is available to all Miller Homes purchasers by appointment only. For details of your nearest development, new releases of homes for sale and prices, visit millerhomes.co.uk.
