Vauxhall’s tax-busting Tech Line offers unrivalled standard spec

Vauxhall’s new Tech Line trim, available on Astra and Insignia, offers company car drivers exceptional levels of standard spec, combined with irresistibly low P11D prices and attractive benefit-in-kind tax charges.

Already offering customers savings thanks to ecoFLEX technology, the Insignia Tech Line offers substantial benefit-in-kind savings versus the comparable SE model.  For example, the 2.0CDTi 16v (160PS) ecoFLEX Start/Stop model saves you £1092 based on 40 per cent benefit-in-kind over three years.  Similarly, the Astra Tech Line delivers significant benefit-in-kind savings.

Both Astra and Insignia Tech Line models also give Vauxhall customers benefit-in-kind reductions over their Ford Focus Zetec and Mondeo Zetec rivals.  The Astra Tech Line 1.7 CDTi 16v (130PS) ecoFLEX Start/Stop model offers a tax saving of nearly £200 over the Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCi (115PS), based on 40 per cent benefit-in-kind over three years.  Customers choosing the Insignia Tech Line 2.0CDTi 16v (130PS) ecoFLEX Start/Stop model save over £100 when compared with the Mondeo Zetec 2.0 TDCi (140PS), based on 40 per cent benefit-in-kind over three years.

User choosers will have little reason to dip in to the options list with Tech Line models boasting sat nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, 17” alloy wheels, cruise control and a chrome-effect side window surround all as standard.  Customers can choose between either 5-door hatchback or sports tourer body styles on either model.

The array of standard equipment is matched by a variety of economical petrol and diesel engines. Astra Tech Line is available with the punchy 1.7 (130PS) ecoFLEX start/stop diesel unit, one of the most economical in its sector, producing just 99g/km of CO2. This model, along with its 1.7 (110PS) sibling, qualifies for zero Vehicle Excise Duty and falls within the lowest 13 per cent benefit-in-kind diesel tax band.  It also qualifies under the 110g/km threshold for 100 per cent first year capital allowance and as it meets the Euro 5 standard for air quality it is exempt from London’s Congestion Charge.

Insignia Tech Line is also available with a selection of engines, both petrol and diesel.  The powerful 2.0 (160PS) ecoFLEX diesel is one of the best in its class, emitting a miserly 115g/km of CO2.

“Eye-catching features matched to exceptional P11D values make the new Tech Line Astra and Insignia models really stand out from the crowd,” said James Taylor, Fleet Sales Director.  “Low CO2 emissions and efficient ecoFLEX engines deliver substantial savings to both fleet decision makers and company car drivers alike.”
