Jubilee jaunts for singles

18th January 2012 Print

Pop off to the Bodrum peninsula or Olu Deniz in Turkey to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and enjoy an eight-day holiday – using just four days of annual leave – is the message to solo travellers from singles specialist, Friendship Travel.

In Olu Deniz, the company is offering seven-night holidays – departing Gatwick on 31 May – at just £495 per person inclusive of return flights, transfers and accommodation with breakfast, plus two dinners, at the two-star Forever Hotel, an affordable ‘small and friendly’ little property of just 19 rooms.

For those who prefer the Bodrum peninsula, a week’s holiday – also departing Gatwick on 31 May – is priced at £920 per person inclusive of return flights, transfers and mainly half-board accommodation at the four-star 4Reasons Hotel, a stylish, boutique-style property in the picture-postcard resort of  Yalikavak.

On both holidays guests enjoy sole occupancy of a twin or double room, along with the services of a Friendship Travel host.  There’s also the option of departing from a wide choice of regional airports (supplements may apply).

Back in Britain, Friendship is also featuring a two-night Diamond Jubilee break from 2 June – which includes a celebratory BBQ lunch – at the Harpenden House Hotel, an elegant Grade II listed Georgian property. The cost is £295 per person inclusive of half-board accommodation (with sole occupancy of a double room), Black Tie Ball, BBQ lunch and services of a Friendship Travel host.
