Standard Life Investments MyFolio income fund range
Global fund manager Standard Life Investments has announced the launch of two new suites of MyFolio funds - Multi Manager Income and Managed Income.
The new fund launches have been driven by a demand from investors seeking a range of higher yielding options, complemented by reasonable capital growth prospects and all delivered within a well thought out risk controlled framework.
The new range of funds comprises five new multi manager income funds (MyFolio Multi Manager Income I - V) and five new managed income funds (MyFolio Managed I - V).
Bambos Hambi, Head of Fund of Funds Management, Standard Life Investments, said; "Investor response to our existing range of MyFolio funds has been extremely positive with assets under management growing to over £900m since its launch in October 2010. This is testament to the general strong demand from investors for risk controlled multi asset funds.
"It seems an entirely natural progression for us now to offer income seeking investors the opportunity to invest in funds adopting a similar risk based approach but with a strong emphasis on the level of yield. The new MyFolio Income range of funds has been structured to deliver a higher yield as a result of adopting a slightly different asset allocation stance and by investing in underlying funds that themselves have a higher yield expectation."
MyFolio Funds
The whole range of Myfolio funds are carefully constructed suites of risk-based portfolios managed by Standard Life Investments that offer clients a choice of active and index-based investment strategies across five risk levels.
The MyFolio Funds offer an innovative approach to asset allocation which aims to maximise returns for the level of risk selected. They offer asset allocation strategies that are relatively rare among most risk-based portfolios:

Absolute return investment strategies are incorporated across the four active options - the MyFolio Multi Manager Funds; MyFolio Multi Manager Income Funds; MyFolio Managed Funds and the MyFolio Managed Income funds.
Standard Life Investments provides tactical asset allocation across all MyFolio Funds
MyFolio Income Funds will be available through direct investment, via Standard Life platforms and tax wrappers (excluding stakeholder) and via selected third party platforms. They are available to invest in through Standard Life's Wrap, FundZone Mutual Fund Platform, International Bond, Individual and Group Pensions including SIPP, Group SIPP, Active Money SIPP and Active Money Personal Pension, Tailored and Capital Onshore Bonds (Level and Stepped).
