Forget chocolates, roses and oysters! All you need to feel all loved up this Valentine’s Day is a stroll, meal or weekend break in one of the most picturesque, and secluded country estates in the UK.

The splendid Hodsock Priory, located near Blyth, on the border of North Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, will be opening its doors once again for the twenty first anniversary of its magnificent snowdrop garden providing a wonderful setting for a romantic walk, delicious lunch or sumptuous weekend break.

“Hodsock and our garden is truly spectacular at this time of year and is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend some quality time with that special someone,” said George Buchanan ninth generation resident and general manager Hodsock Priory. “You can join us for a leisurely stroll and tempting home-made refreshments or, you may prefer our special Valentines evening event where you will enjoy a signature meal and Champagne for just £50 per person.”

“Hodsock simply oozes romance and this is why so many couples choose us as their wedding venue each year,” said George. Weddings at Hodsock are completely bespoke offering couples and their families and friends a day that they will remember forever.”

In honour of the twenty first anniversary there is a host of special events taking place which include treasure trails for all the family, local food fair, gardening talks and tours of the Priory and its gardens.
