Enjoy the open road this summer on a classic car break

A range of three Classic Car Breaks are being offered for 2012 by Headlam Hall, the award-winning country house hotel and spa in Teesdale, County Durham.

The packages combine a luxurious stay at Headlam Hall with the hire of one of three truly classic cars - a classic E-type Jaguar, a Porsche Carrera Targa, or an open-top Mercedes- SL380 Roadster - and are designed to appeal to car lovers throughout Britain.

The E-type really is the epitome of classic British motoring elegance, widely regarded as the most beautiful sports car ever built. Headlam Hall's car, "JAG 118L" is a 1972 V12 Coupe, finished in immaculate indigo blue, and sports a fold-back sunroof for fresh air fans. The Porsche is an extremely rare 1976 Carrera finished in its original metallic emerald green, and the Mercedes is truly one of the definitive open top sports tourer's of the last 40 years, and is signal red, as driven by Bobby Ewing in the 1970's tv series "Dallas".

Located in one of Britain's "undiscovered" Dales, Teesdale, Headlam Hall is an ideal base to enjoy some of the best driving routes in the country, with wonderful scenery and charming villages in both the Yorkshire and Durham Dales nearby.

The Classic Car Break includes two nights' Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in a deluxe double room, a full day's hire of the classic car of your choice, tailored driving routes, a luxury picnic hamper for your day on the "Open Road" and full use of the hotel's £2.5m Spa during your stay.  Prices are from £265 per person based on two sharing, for the break with the Mercedes Roadster, rising to £295pp for the Porsche 911, and £325pp for the E-type Jaguar.

Ideal as a gift for Father's Day, birthdays or anniversaries, upgrades to Junior or Premier Suites are also available, and an extra day's hire of the cars can be added to the package.
