Panasonic Avionics to supply Norwegian Air Shuttle
Norwegian Air Shuttle (Norwegian), a low-cost airline with flights in Scandinavia and in Europe, plans to offer passengers a premium in-flight entertainment system by signing an agreement with Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic) to supply Digital MPES (DMPES) on forty-five (45) B737-800 aircraft.

Iceland Express announces Gatwick launch date
Iceland Express is launching a new Gatwick service on 1 May 2009. The national low-cost carrier will operate an eight-times-per-week service between London Gatwick and Reykjavik, with flights starting from £69.00 one-way including taxes.
Qantas celebrates 60 years of flying to South Africa
Qantas will celebrate the 60th anniversary of flights between Australia and South Africa – known as the Wallaby Route – on 14 November 2008. The Chief Executive Officer of Qantas, Mr Geoff Dixon, said the successful survey flight between Australia and South Africa in 1948 was another remarkable achievement for Qantas Empire Airways, following the introduction of the Kangaroo Route between Australia and the United Kingdom in 1947.

Pegasus Airlines sponsors 14th London Turkish Film Festival

Additional aircraft increase airline’s fleet
Eastern Airways is expanding the size of its aircraft fleet with the introduction of two extra Saab 2000 aircraft. The UK regional airline, which provides a comprehensive network of scheduled services from 18 UK and European airports along with private charter flights for blue chip companies, corporations and individual groups, has signed a lease agreement for the aircraft with the Swedish aircraft manufacturer.
