Job Description
Our client is searching for a Project Manager who is a dynamic Industry knowledgeable individual, able to work autonomously with minimal guidance in an extremely fast moving and demanding environment.

Comfortable with Project Managing from inception to delivery complex multi faceted S/W, H/W & infrastructure projects utilizing AGILE techniques with SCRUM based development into an evolving and challenging environment..

Able to cope with and implement constant change and work in accordance with the dictates of the project timelines, sometimes involving considerable out of hours work, must cope well under intense pressure and above all always deliver on time and within budget.

Responsible for delivery against the project brief and specification on schedule and within budget to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities / Activities

• To take lead responsibility for specific project(s), manage project delivery and the associated resources, and act as the single point of contact.
• To develop and maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors and other key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure full commitment and support for the success of the project.
• Deliver project activities within budget to maximise cost effectiveness of each project
• Deliver projects using PRINCE2, and PRINCE2 derivative, project management methodologies to achieve quality project outcomes
• Lead project team ensuring they complete planned/agreed work to achieve project schedule, quality and cost objectives
• Project compliance, assurance and reporting
• Identify, monitor, mitigate and manage project and operational risk
• Motivate project team(s) to ensure effective team working
• Establish and maintain good supplier relations to ensure effective delivery
• Other tasks as directed

Experience / Qualifications Requirements

• Experience within a PRINCE2 environment preferably with formal PRINCE2 certification.
• Preferably educated to degree level or with appropriate vocational experience backed up by formal training.
• Experience successfully managing projects and working within a project support environment (i.e. a PMO)
• ITIL experience/exposure – preferably ITIL Foundation certification achieved.
• Broad IT industry experience.

Technical
• Good working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Understanding and experience of appropriate programme management and commercial/contractual principles.
• Excellent understanding of departmental processes.
• Superior planning skills and expertise with MS Project and MS Enterprise Project Management (EPM).

£35-50k depending on experience)
