M&S Outlet launched on Amazon Webstore platform
The new Marks & Spencer online outlet store, M&S Outlet, launched last week on Amazon Webstore, Amazon's stand-alone eCommerce platform.
The Amazon Webstore eCommerce platform allows sellers, from small businesses to internationally renowned retailers, to build a custom-branded eCommerce site using Amazon technology whilst maintaining control over brand identity and customer shopping experience.
"Amazon were a natural partner for us as we have been working together for many years developing an award-winning eCommerce presence." said David Walmsley, Director of Multichannel Development at Marks & Spencer.
Chris Poad, director of merchant services at Amazon.co.uk Ltd said "Sellers both large and small are discovering the benefits of Amazon Webstore and Amazon is delighted to be able to provide this service to Marks & Spencer for their new online outlet store."
Combining Amazon Webstore with Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) allowed M&S to build a highly scalable, robust and secure online outlet business with Amazon's trusted shipping and returns with no upfront infrastructure investment.
With Amazon's Webstore, sellers have the option to seamlessly integrate with FBA to have their products stored, picked, packed and delivered by Amazon.co.uk and they can also benefit from Amazon's secure payment processing and fraud protection.
