The boffins at Forge Motorsport have been beavering away on yet another great silicon hose kit to add to their burgeoning portfolio of superbly engineered products. The lucky recipient this time is the Fiat Punto Abarth.

The kit has been designed and developed at Forge’s Gloucestershire factory and is very comprehensive, containing seven hand-finished hoses, each one made from the highest automotive grade, fabric reinforced silicon. Thanks to vastly superior burst capacity over the OEM items, the Forge-produced parts are perfect for applications where temperatures and pressures may exceed OEM parameters - for example, on tuned or tracked cars.

Although the Punto Abarth is still in the first flush of youth, the Forge kit may also act as some sensible preventative maintenance. Factory rubber hoses were never designed to last forever, so upgrading pre-emptively not only appeals aesthetically, but could also save a lot of headache, heartache and expense at a later date. The kit has been specifically designed for the Multijet variant of the Abarth and will not fit the later ‘Twinair’ type engine from 2012.
