Redrow to build on its success in Worcester

People looking for a new home in Worcester will soon have even more to choose from thanks to Redrow.
The award-winning housebuilder is preparing to launch its latest development of large and luxurious family homes at King’s Park.
Close to Redrow’s existing Earl’s Park venture on land that previously belonged to Earl’s Court Farm, King’s Park will offer a selection of four, five and six-bedroom homes from the sought-after New Heritage Collection.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “Earl’s Park has been a great success with Worcester home buyers looking for a home that looks good, is easy to manage and efficient to run. We’ll be increasing the choice of homes available this April when we launch a new phase, known as King’s Park, offering some of the largest detached homes from our New Heritage Collection.”
Like the homes at neighbouring Earl’s Park, the 27 homes at King’s Park will look traditional from the outside, taking inspiration from the architecture of the Arts and Crafts era; while inside they will be bright and modern.
“People tend to think they want to live in an older property that’s full of character, but often don’t realise just how much time and money they will spend running and renovating it. Our New Heritage Collection is the perfect solution for those who want the charm of a ‘period’ property but the style and convenience of a brand new home,” Pauline added.
Arts and Crafts features will be seen to varying degrees on the homes at King’s Park including dropped eaves, projecting plinths, timber or tiled canopies over doors and windows, supported by decorative gallows brackets, and the use of larch lap boarding as a feature.
But behind the traditional exteriors the homes will be full of family friendly features. Open plan layouts put well equipped kitchens at the heart of the home. Practical yet stylish those kitchens boast integrated top brand name appliances including microwave, oven and fridge freezer plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage. Upstairs, family bathrooms and en-suites will enjoy quality fixtures and fittings, with a tile range exclusive to Redrow.
“Unlike some older, second hand properties our new homes won’t need lots of repairs and renovations before you can move in, saving customers’ time and money. And because they’re well insulated, with double glazing and central heating included as standard home owners should save money on their fuel bills,” Pauline said.
The new Redrow homes are just a short journey away from the centre of Worcester and enjoy easy access to the M5 and M42 are the ideal base for commuters.
Some 20 acres of woodland will form part of Redrow’s development of the former Earl’s Court Farm site, where species-rich grassland will be retained, an existing wet pond area enhanced, additional trees planted along the streets and new woodland areas created.
