Crest Nicholson’s transformation of Bath’s western corridor to the River Avon reached another milestone this month with the launch of its first three show apartments and a permanent marketing suite.

The launch of Liberty Gardens, as part of the Bath Riverside development, saw more than 100 prospective buyers lining up to view the show apartments and the developer confirming more than 10 reservations in a matter of days on a range of apartments and penthouses.

The show apartments, in the form of a pair of two bedroom units and a one bedroom unit, are situated in Palladian, which will be the first building to be finished in the three forming Liberty Gardens. Crest has confirmed that the first homes here will be available for occupation in Summer 2012, potentially providing some much needed relief to Bath’s residential market.

“We have been absolutely delighted by the response we have received with the first of the Liberty Gardens apartments. I think a lot of people have been surprised by just how spacious they feel,” explained Debbie Aplin, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson Regeneration.

“A lot of people had forgotten about this area of Bath because it was left derelict for so long, however, now that the transformation is underway and this new community is literally rising from the ground, there’s a lot of enthusiasm for what it will offer those looking to live and invest in the city,” she added.

Ahead of the public launch of the show apartments, Crest hosted a preview event for a number of Bath & North East Somerset Council Councillors and the feedback received about how the development is progressing was extremely positive.

Councillor Paul Crossley, Leader of Council, said, “It is excellent news that the milestone of the Bath Riverside development has now been reached. Bath & North East Somerset Council is delighted at the superb progress being made towards transforming this formerly derelict land into places for local people to live and boosting the number of local affordable homes.”

Crest Nicholson’s Sales & Marketing Director, Susan Young, believes that the high level of reservations secured since the launch comes down to prospective buyers being able to see the apartments first hand:

“We know that some of buyers prefer seeing rather than buying off plan, therefore the show apartments give them the opportunity to get the financial benefits of investing in a development early and provide reassurance of the quality of the finished product as well as an indication of room sizes, ceiling heights and general layout. The Bath Riverside show apartments capture this perfectly and as a result it has inspired a lot of confidence that these will make fantastic homes.”

The apartments and penthouses at Liberty Gardens will be sold with high quality kitchen and stainless steel appliances in place, painted a crisp white throughout and finished with specially selected flooring and tiling across all surfaces, ensuring that residents will be able to move in without any hassle.

The Bath Riverside marketing suite located on Victoria Bridge Road can be accessed through the main entrance to Bath Riverside, off Pines Way. For more information, visit bathriverside.co.uk.
