Local volunteers have pitched in to plant hundreds of new trees at Taylor Wimpey’s Woodlands Park development of property for sale in Bedford.

A new wooded area has got off to the best possible start in life thanks to a team of hardy volunteers at Woodlands Park, Taylor Wimpey’s popular development of new homes for sale in Bedford.

Twelve people braved the wind, rain and cold to spend an afternoon planting hundreds of trees on land neighbouring the new homes in Bedford off Ashmead Road on Sunday 4th March.

It’s the second public planting event to take place at the Taylor Wimpey Bedford development, after visitors planted over 500 trees in the spring of 2011.

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “While the weather wasn’t great for the volunteers, it was perfect for planting as it meant the new trees had a good drink as they went into the ground.

“On behalf of everyone at Taylor Wimpey, I’d like to thank those who gave up their valuable spare time in such trying conditions, and we’re looking forward to seeing the trees mature over time at this beautiful development of houses for sale in Bedford.”

There are now just 15 plots remaining for sale at this near-sellout development, including three-bedroom houses from as little as £200,000, and four-bedroom homes from just £230,000. Selected plots offer the additional benefit of enviable views over the picturesque country park.

All new properties at the development are completed to a high standard specification, benefiting from central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

To make choosing one of these high-quality homes even more appealing, Taylor Wimpey offers a range of helpful homebuyer incentives for first-time buyers and those with a property to sell.

Selected plots, for example, can be accessed by qualifying first-time buyers for just 80% of their full price under FirstBuy, while the Part Exchange scheme sees Taylor Wimpey offer homeowners an agreed price for their existing property, based on the average of independent valuations.

Incentives can be tailored to customers’ individual circumstances and are subject to availability, with full details available from the Sales Executive.

Woodlands Park is conveniently situated for the very best of both town and country. Just over a mile from Bedford town centre, home to shops, bars and restaurants catering for all tastes, it is also surrounded by peaceful countryside and woodland.

For commuters, Bedford station offers mainline links to London St Pancras while the M1 and the A1 are each only a short drive away.
