London’s first Bellini Bar opens

28th March 2012 Print

The acclaimed supperclub will launch London’s first ever dedicated bellini bar in stylish Notting Hill.  Harking back to a bygone age of glamour, guests will even have the opportunity to bathe in champagne, in true Hollywood style.

On arrival, guests will be shown into the chic new bar area, where leather bar stools, black marble, and large mirrors create an air of decadence and style.  A giant disco ball and bubbles cascading down from the ceiling provide the perfect backdrop for the focal point of the room: a roll top black bath that will be filled with champagne for one lucky guest to bathe in on a nightly basis, just as long as they remember their bathing suit…

The bellini was first created in the 1940s, a glamorous and golden age, despite the war.  First conceived in Harry’s Bar in Venice, it was popularized by famous regulars such as Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis and Orson Welles. The bellini’s fame soon spread around the world and it became the tipple of choice of Hollywood starlets and femme fatales alike.

The Bellini Bar will be London’s first dedicated bellini bar, offering everything from the classic Peach Belliini to some truly unusual bellinis such as: Chocolate Pear Bellini, a Sparkling Cosmo Bellini, a Vodka and Bubble-Gum Prosecco Bellini and a Lime and Elderflower Bellini.

Supperclub is famed for its live entertainment and the shows in the bellini bar will truly cause a stir, with performances from edgy, sultry acts including the theatrical vaudeville performer Roxy Velvet and many more.  Internationally acclaimed DJs such as Seb Fontaine, Simon Dunmore  and resident Mercury nominated Femi Fem will also be taking to the decks.

Part of the same international group as the legendary supperclub in Amsterdam, supperclub London has rapidly become a Notting Hill institution.  A hidden gem for those in the know, once inside, guests are transported to a truly extraordinary place, where the unexpected always occurs.

So come and pop your cork at supperclub’s new Bellini Bar.
