It’s been reported that properties in the Truro area remain on the market for an average of 172 days before selling, meaning it is unlikely local homeowners will be able to trade up the property ladder until late summer in spite of their best efforts to move.

Thankfully help is at hand for house hunters as leading home builder Taylor Wimpey Exeter, is offering its widely acclaimed Part Exchange scheme at its attractive Fairfields development in Probus.

The popular scheme, which is available on selected house types at Fairfields, aims to greatly reduce the time purchasers have to wait to move to their dream home. In some instances home buyers have moved into their new home in just four weeks as Taylor Wimpey will buy the existing property.

“It’s a common yet frustrating scenario when you’ve made the decision to move, but can’t escape the trappings of your existing property,” states Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter.

She adds: “Through Part Exchange we have assisted dozens of house hunters all looking to purchase their new home at Fairfields but had previously not been able to sell their old house. It’s the ideal way to guarantee a buyer allowing you to concentrate on the move into your new family property.”

Fairfields currently offers a collection of stylish two and four bedroom homes featuring natural Cornish stone and slate, with some properties benefiting from far reaching views across the Cornish countryside. Prices start from just £159,995 for a two bedroom Deddington and from £314,995 for the four bedroom Candleston. Due to the limited number of properties remaining, house hunters are urged to register their interest sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment on their favourite house type.

Janine concludes: “The homes at Fairfields have proved popular with families looking to move into bigger accommodation, due to their spacious interiors and their situation at our attractive Probus development.”

Fairfields, located on St. Austell Road, is the ideal place to own a home and is located within easy reach of the famous seaside resort of Newquay and the bustling city of Truro.

If you want to stay local you can benefit from the beautiful countryside views in this idyllic, rural spot. Probus itself has a village hall, a farm shop, several restaurants and a historic church.
