Work starts on new homes development in Audenshaw

22nd May 2012 Print

New jobs and new homes are being created by Elan Homes in Audenshaw. The prestigious developer is boosting the local economy with its investment in a 1.38 acre site in Audenshaw Road, Audenshaw.

Shaun McCarthy, technical director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “The redevelopment of this derelict site to provide new homes is great news for the area and has clear benefits for the local economy as we will be providing employment for construction workers. Based on figures from the Home Builders Federation, the development will provide 1.5 full time jobs for each new home built, plus up to four times as many in the supply chain.

“We recently started work to demolish a former car sales and service centre on the site, to make way for the new homes. As work progresses members of the community will be able to witness how we are changing the area for the better and giving home buyers more to choose from.”

The site is in an established residential area, within easy reach of shops and schools and Elan is anticipating keen interest in the homes being built at the development, known as Parklands.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, added: “Comprising of just 17 freehold homes, Parklands is an intimate development and we’re confident that it will be a popular choice with homebuyers. I would encourage anyone who’s considering moving to a new home in the Audenshaw area to get in touch so that we can keep them informed of our progress as we work towards releasing the first properties onto the market.”

Prospective purchasers can register their interest in the new homes at Parklands, Audenshaw at elan-homes.co.uk.
