The mobile advertising industry is now worth £203.2 million (2011 IAB AdSpend study) which means that affiliate publishers need to keep pace with the evolving platforms and ensure their sites are mobile friendly. Commission Junction, the world’s largest affiliate network, recognised that this is a complex undertaking for many sites and has partnered with MyMCart to offer its network of publishers the opportunity to create mobile friendly websites without any redevelopment costs.

“We’re always focused on both sides of our business, publishers as well as advertisers. It’s important that the affiliate industry keeps pace with online innovations as well as rapidly changing consumer behaviour. As an affiliate network, we have a commitment to ensuring affiliates continue to innovate.” Commented Emmanuel Ogidan, publisher account director at Commission Junction.

“CJ is always looking for resources that would be helpful to our publisher network and we think that MyMCart is an ideal solution.”

Publishers can create a mobile site in line with their current website for a small monthly fee. It’s a one-stop-shop for publishers to enter the mobile world. As mobile connectivity becomes more popular, 58% (28.6 million) of British people access online content via apps or mobile internet each month (comScore, Jan 2012), this makes it imperative for publishers to provide compatible sites.

“We try to not just encourage publishers to make steps towards mobile but provide the resources and opportunities for them to do so.” said Florian Gramshammer, country manager, Commission Junction.

“We designed MyMCart to help brands take advantage of the ever growing mobile industry, we’re a nation on the move and it’s so important for consumers to be able to access information they need on their mobiles. It’s fantastic that Commission Junction have chosen to push the tool towards publishers, the more mobile friendly the internet is, the more the industry can evolve and grow.” Said Mark Kuhillow, managing director at MyMCart, he continued, “we’re looking forward to working with CJ and helping their publisher base take advantage of the space.”
