Bloor Homes highlights: Space has overtaken location as the first and foremost concern for homeowners for the first time in years. Bigger rooms topped the list of the most important criteria when shopping for a new home, according to a survey of 2,000 homeowners by ratedpeople.com, a website putting consumers in touch with trusted tradespeople.

Understanding the need for larger room sizes, Bloor Homes has created a collection of spacious new homes at The Briars in Long Lawford. It was here that purchasers Mark and Gemma Rigden secured their second property designed by Bloor Homes. Mark comments: “We were so pleased with our first property built by Bloor Homes that when we decided to move up the ladder, we knew Bloor would be our first choice.”

Mark continues: “When Gemma became pregnant with our second child, we knew that we would need more space. We had been so pleased with the space and specification of our first property by Bloor Homes; we knew we wouldn’t be satisfied with anything less. On visiting The Hanbury house type at The Briars, we could see that it was well designed and offered even more space than we had hoped for. It was definitely the best choice for us and now we have moved into our second Bloor home, we will never look back.”

The Hanbury show home is a spacious family home and includes a bright airy lounge with feature bay window, study, kitchen/dining area, utility and family room with glazed roof. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, with ensuite and warbrobes to the master bedroom, a single bedroom and a family bathroom. A garage and parking are also included.

Long Lawford village is one of four Lawfords in the vicinity and was named Long because historically the village ran along the road between Rugby and Coventry. The village itself is surrounded by green open spaces and is located just a short distance from Rugby, famous not only for the game of rugby but for its excellent schools.

The village offers easy access to the M6, M1 and M69 offering a network of road links, as well as the main A5 Watling Street making it central for commuting. There is a regular bus service providing an easy link to the shopping facilities in either Rugby or Coventry, whilst the main line station at Rugby can get you to London Euston within 50 minutes.

Prices at The Briars range from £153,950 for a three bedroom house to £249,950 for a four bedroom property. For further sales information, visit bloorhomes.com.
