Forge Motorsport uprated radiator for Renault Megane

Gloucestershire based Forge Motorsport has released another ‘must have’ upgrade to add to the swelling ranks of its extensive French car portfolio. The lucky recipients this time are the 225 and 230 bhp variants of the capable Renault Megane, and the product in question is an exquisitely hand-finished alloy radiator.

Not only is the new component somewhat easier on the eye than the factory original, it also offers significantly improved thermal efficiency, thanks to its precision manufactured 590 x 440 x 43mm alloy core. The entire construction is TIG welded, by hand, before being subjected to the gruelling ISO standard pressure test, ensuring that it will significantly out-perform the OEM part.

As well as being an essential for any modified or uprated Megane, the new Forge part also solves the perennial problem on these cars of the plastic end tanks failing. Bearing in mind radiator replacement is always much more fun – and considerably cheaper – before this problem occurs, the Forge radiator also makes a great case for itself as a preventative upgrade, even on a cherished standard car.
