Forge Motorsport Porsche 997 uprated intercoolers

Following on from the success of its 996 intercoolers, Gloucestershire based Forge Motorsport has developed a stunningly engineered solution for all first generation 997 models.
Every aspect of these components has been carefully analysed and improved. From enlarged 60mm hoses to improve flow through to completely redesigned intercooler end tanks to improve optimise charge air movement and temperature.
Having noted that the OEM ducting was pretty much faultless, Forge’s engineers concentrated on creating two intercoolers that sat precisely on the factory mountings, making them both easy to fit, but also able to sit in the precise position that Porsche had carefully designed. Although the new Forge ‘coolers have a similar profile to the Stuttgart parts, they are considerably deeper, and feature a considerably more efficient bar and plate core structure, which proved to be the key to dramatically lowering charge temperatures during testing.
The final result of this work was an incredible reduction in intake temperature of up to 40° centigrade! This drop was so dramatic, that Forge’s technicians initially rejected the data and set about replicating the tests to in order to repeatedly retest and analyse their findings, expecting to find that they had made a mistake. Every time they ran the test car, the result remained the same, substantiating the data with repeatable and conclusive figures.
This allowed the engine to produce more power and torque throughout the rev range, as well as allowing it to run cooler, ensuring longevity of all major components.
Priced at £1732.50 + VAT, these uprated intercoolers work perfectly and enhance any standard or uprated 997.
