11th June 2012 Print

Titan the escorted tour specialists, has introduced its brand new range of travel-inclusive, no-fly holidays for the UK, Scandinavia, Baltics, Mediterranean, Black Sea and even West Africa for 2012, with guests able to travel outbound or return by rail, coach or sea. The new escorted tours provide value for money, unrivalled service and above all aim to make the journey a true part of the holiday experience.

There are 25 tours in the new ‘No Fly Holiday’ brochure and six of the UK short breaks are brand new, appealing to the growing staycation market. The same number again are new no-fly cruising holidays to destinations as diverse as Greenland, Cape Verde and the Ukraine – bolstered by the popularity of cruising closer to home.

The new brochure equally appeals to those wanting immersive UK escorted tours that are strong on both culture and history. Further afield Titan’s tours for 2012 focus on giving the traveller a real sense of geography, sights and scenery.

Each tour begins and ends with the unique Titan VIP Home Departure Service ensuring that Titan passengers arrive at their destination relaxed and ready to enjoy the tour. In the U.K, guests are driven directly to the hotel in which their holiday starts, bringing the holiday feeling right to the customers’ front door.

New UK short breaks include Cornwall, Devon, Bournemouth, Lake District, Llandrindod Wells, Harrogate and York. While Titan has expanded its no-fly cruising to Norway’s Fjords, Cape Verde Islands, the Iberian Peninsula, the Black Sea and France’s River Seine and Oise.

Examples include the Taste of the Cape Verde Islands cruise which takes in breath-taking landscapes from West Africa to the Southern Mediterranean including Casablanca, Lanzarote, Madeira, Dakar in Senegal and the Cape Verde Islands. It’s a chance to experience colourful African markets, fascinating islands and a diverse range of cultures by sea. This 22-day no-fly cruise starts from £1,995 per person.

Alternatively, the 29-day ‘Voyage to the Black Sea’ sets sail in early Autumn for some of the Mediterranean’s classic treasures including Gibraltar, Palma, Malta, Crete, Athens, Istanbul and then on through the Bosphorus to Varna in Bulgaria, Odessa, Sevastapol and Yalta – the Pearl of the Crimea. This 29 day no-fly cruise starts from £2,995 per person.

Leaving Dover in early September, the 8-day ‘Fjordland Splendour’ explores Norway’s fjords and the chance to cruise along deepwater inlets of mirror-glass water; looking up at high-waterfalls, colourful villages and mountain peaks all from the comfort of the cruise liner, the Black Watch. Eight day itineraries start from £995 per person.

Closer to home the choice of UK itineraries includes at 5-day short break in mid Wales. ‘Taking the waters’ at British spa towns was a favourite Victorian leisure pursuit and with the advent of railways Llandrindod Wells in central Wales grew greatly in size and status. On the Llandrindod Wells Short Break, breathe deep and feel the fresh air of the majestic Brecon Beacons, grand Abbey-Cwm-Hir Hall, the stunningly scenic Elan Valley and the sea side town of Aberystwyth. Five day itineraries start from £635 per person.
