Symphony of the Seas

Breaking the stereotype of “Old is Gold”, this massive addition to the Royal Caribbean family registers at 228,021 gross tonnages. Symphony of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise liner, along with other members of the family (coming up in the list) surpassing the previously superior Freedom-class.

The largest cruise ship in the world so far, the Symphony of the Seas arrived at the Royal Caribbean Terminal in Miami on 9th November 2018.

Harmony of the Seas

Following closely behind is Harmony of the Seas, another member of the Royal Caribbean family at a whopping 226,963 GT. It is the second largest cruise ship in the world surpassing its sisters, Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas.

This glorious vessel features 2747 staterooms. So, at double occupancy Harmony of the Seas houses up to 5479 passengers. Similar to other cruisers by Royal Caribbean, this giant vessel also offers exclusive features like Central Park, the Royal Promenade and Entertainment Place to name a few.

Allure of the Seas

Capturing the third place in our list, the Allure of Seas is one more attraction of Royal Caribbean Cruises. The largest passenger ship, before its sister Harmony of the Seas, came into service in 2016, is 362 meters long.

At double occupancy, it accommodates 5400 guests with a gross tonnage of 225,282 GT.

Oasis of the Seas

The first Oasis-class cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas measures 361.6 meters in length. In terms of gross tonnage (225, 282 GT), this ship is placed third with its sister, the Allure of the Seas.

As it was the first of its kind, it introduced many amenities for the first time in the cruise industry. Oasis of the Seas features Central Park, an outdoor Aqua theater, and also Zipline and rock-climbing walls among others.

AIDA Nova

The first ship ever that can be powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), AIDA Nova, seals the deal by bagging the fifth position in the list. The ship has a Gross Tonnage of 183,900 GT and is also the first ship of the Helios Class, introduced by AIDA Cruises.
