Castle Inn Hotel launches canine breaks

18th June 2012 Print

This summer even dogs can enjoy a holiday at the Castle Inn Hotel at Bassenthwaite thanks to the introduction of a new pet friendly bedroom.

From June 2012, the Lake District hotel is opening up one specially converted bedroom where visitors are welcome to bring along their pet pooches.

Furthermore the Castle Inn will not be making any additional charges for the privilege, meaning dogs get to stay for free!

Peter Wells general manager commented: “Being based in the Lake District we are located in a part of the UK which is ultimately popular with visitors who own dogs. We have opened a room where people can bring their pet on holiday and therefore make a true family break. At present we only have the one room for this purpose; however, if it proves popular we will be looking at opening up further rooms in a dedicated section of the hotel.”

The Castle Inn Hotel is located in an ideal setting for holidaying with dogs. Not only does the hotel sit within its own extensive grounds but it is close to a number of fantastic walks ranging from hill top climbs through to low level forest and river walks.

The hotel is offering accommodation for pet owners from £85.00 per room per night, room only. The price is based on two people sharing with one dog.

Please note that dogs are not permitted within the hotel’s main restaurant and other communal areas including the leisure facilities.

The Castle Inn Hotel is a four star hotel located in the north of the Lake District. The property features a restaurant, pub, indoor heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room.
