Last week’s (June 11-17) 17th running of the annual Motorexpo motoring extravaganza at London’s Canary Wharf included the event’s first Private Sale Showcase of Supercars and Super Classics. This was organised by H&H Classics, who amassed a mouth-watering selection of 20 collectors’ motorcars with which to tempt the great and good of the local banking community. It was a success, and orders for in excess of £1.4 million worth of automotive masterpieces were taken during the week-long show.

The memorable line-up included: one of only 20 Lamborghini Reventóns ever made; three Ferraris; a Ford GT; six Jaguars, including a Lightweight E-Type; a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Drophead Coupe; a brace of Bentley Continentals; an ex-Works Mini Cooper S; a Frazer-Nash Le Mans Replica etc.

Said H&H’s Marketing Manager, Richard Caton: “We were delighted to have the opportunity of creating this exciting new element for such a proven event, and thereby gain exposure to a whole new sector of collectors’ car buyers - people that we might never get to meet through our extensive programme of auction events. They proved to be rewardingly receptive to what we had to offer and achieving over £1.4 million worth of orders at our first attempt was most encouraging."

Details of all H&H sales can be found at handh.co.uk.
