Tarox motorsport brake upgrade kit for Ford Focus RS Mk2

Italian braking maestro Tarox has released a superbly-engineered brake upgrade kit to tame the ample power of Ford’s iconic Mk2 Focus RS. The kit consists of two precision-machined 300mm two-piece discs and uprated pads. Also available is a matching rear disc upgrade for those looking for the ultimate in looks and performance.
The discs are designed to fit within the OEM calipers, but when used in conjunction with the supplied Tarox Performance brake pads, offer significantly greater retardation than the factory set-up. Each kit is hand-assembled in Tarox’s Italian factory and features some unique design features that set it apart from the competition. The discs are machined from a solid billet and have been designed to have exceptionally high tensile strength. The ultimate tensile strength for these discs is rated at an impressive 57kg per square mm. To put this figure in perspective, the industry standard for racing spec discs is usually 38 kg per square mm and the CEE standard U.T.S. is 25kg per square mm. So these are over-engineered by a factor of over 200%! This translates into a service life that is double of most normal discs.
Two designs are available; either the Sport Japan with its combination of drilled and grooved good looks or the F2000 with its sweeping radial grooves. Either can be run with the ‘Strada’ pad for fast road work, or the ‘Corsa’ pad for cars that spend more time on track.
Despite these much higher tolerances, the new Tarox brakes work seamlessly with all factory ABS systems and in all other respects, perform exactly as per an OEM set-up, with exceptional cold ‘bite’ properties and sensible everyday noise levels.
The parts are priced very competitively, despite their superior specification. The front 2-piece discs are £629.00 and rear one piece versions are £189.00. Front and rear pads - in either specification -are £111.00 and £56.00 respectively. All prices exclude VAT.
