Great Wildebeest Migration

It’s that time of year again when one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world can be witnessed in Kenya, the Great Wildebeest Migration.

The thrilling migration takes place from July to October each year.  With over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra on the run for the green pastures of the Maasai Mara, it is one of Kenya’s most dramatic and memorable safari experiences.

Wildebeest can be heard from miles away as they thunder over the Kenyan border towards freshly grown and nutritious lands. Zebra are swept up in the flow, peppering the herds with flashes of black and white as they head towards the mighty Mara River.

Visitors can watch in awe as the river banks swell and burst with wildebeest as they storm down the river bank into crocodile-infested waters, a sight which makes for the greatest wildlife show on earth.
