Curvaceous figures still regarded as the most beautiful in the world

Ursula Andress is the nation’s all-time favourite Bond Beach Babe, new research has revealed.

The sight of her emerging from the ocean, with the sun gleaming off her blonde hair and bronzed body makes Honey Ryder, the character played by Andress, the number one choice, says fashion store Debenhams.

Next comes equally curvaceous Halle Berry who played Jinx Johnson, followed by Bond actor Daniel Craig, who was equally curvaceous – but in different places.

The findings are completely at odds with the modern favouritism towards stick thin women on the catwalks, and equally gaunt looking male models.

Said Debenhams Swimwear Buyer Sasha Nagalingam: “The voluptuous look is still coveted by women and men all over the country.

“A fuller figure is the mark of true beauty – and no one should be worried about showing it off to good effect on the beach this summer."

And the findings are backed up by Debenhams’ sales data. Demand for gel-filled bust-boosting bikini tops have increased by 132% from last year already, indicating women are looking to imitate a fuller look on the beach this season.

And men are returning to skin-hugging swim trunks which emphasise their curves rather than baggy shorts which disguise them, with the retailer stocking 24% more than last year to meet demand.

Debenhams asked female shoppers to vote for the top best Bond beach body of all time – and with the curvy screen sirens of past and present topping the list, it seems women think bust is best.
