New detached homes to be built in Marple
An increased number of new detached homes are to be built at The Coppice in Marple following a re-plan of part of the site by local housebuilder Morris.
The decision follows increased demand for larger homes in the area from local families and will see a total of 12 new detached houses built at The Coppice over the next eight months.
Three detached house types are available - Bramhall, Staunton and Wharfdale - all with four bedrooms. They will be built on a section of The Coppice that was previously reserved for smaller mews housing.
Morris has sold a number of the new detached homes and househunters are being urged to register their interest.
Regional sales director for Morris Homes, Chris Minshall, said: “After receiving feedback from visitors to The Coppice, we identified an opportunity to cater for families looking for more room, and so decided to change the type of houses we were originally going to build.
“The Coppice is perfect for those seeking both the convenience of being able to travel to Manchester quickly and the luxury of having the Peak District right at their doorstep.”
A variety of schemes are available to help homebuyers secure a property on the development, including the FirstBuy and NewBuy schemes.
Under the NewBuy scheme, homebuyers can secure a 95 per cent mortgage, enabling them to pay a five per cent deposit, while the FirstBuy scheme allows homebuyers to benefit from lower monthly repayments and a smaller deposit.
