Homebuyers surgery in North Manchester

Why rent when you can buy – that’s the question Redrow will be asking this Saturday (August 11) at an event for would-be homeowners in Moston and Harpurhey.
The housebuilder is hosting a homebuyers’ surgery at Woodville Gardens in Harpurhey to explain the low cost options available and has enlisted the help of a mortgage specialist to offer advice to inexperienced buyers.
And with some of the homes ready to move into now, plus the chance to defer paying a quarter of the price for up to 10 years through easi:buy there’s never been a better time to buy.
Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “For those who’ve never bought a property before it can be quite daunting. And while they may have heard of equity loan schemes they may not understand what it means for them and how it could help them escape the rental trap and step onto the property ladder. Our homebuyers’ surgery is designed to simplify the whole process and help people make the right choice.”
Redrow is building new homes at Hanson Gardens and Kenyon Gardens in Moston and Woodville Gardens in Harpurhey. Properties from all three developments are being sold via the show homes and sales office at Woodville Gardens.
Between the various developments there’s a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes available, some of which are almost ready to move in to.
Prices start from just £104,995 or from only £74,736 through the easi:buy equity loan scheme.
“We’re working with Manchester City Council to make homeownership a realistic goal for those who perhaps wouldn’t be able to afford to buy on the open market. Put simply, we’ll provide customers with an interest-free loan for up to 10 years. It could save them tens of thousands of pounds off the initial purchase price and reduce their mortgage repayments so that they’re actually paying less than they would to rent a similar property,” Claire added. “The easi:buy loan can be repaid when they’ve more funds available or when they come to resell.”
Thanks to easi:buy customers may only need a 5% deposit, which could be as little as £3,938, to secure a brand new home.
This Saturday mortgage specialists will be available from noon to 4pm to provide would-be home owners with a financial health check and help them find the right mortgage product for their individual circumstances.
